The Mediterranean-Spanish architecture — inspired by the Giralda tower of Seville’s cathedral — gives the entire property a European grandeur that feels both timeless and impossibly romantic. Everywhere you look, there’s a column, an archway, a hand-painted ceiling or an intricate chandelier that becomes the kind of backdrop you simply cannot manufacture. The light here behaves differently too. The warm Miami sun filters through cathedral arches in ways that make our job feel effortless.
We document weddings the way they actually happen. We’re not the photographers barking directions or manufacturing poses every five minutes. We move quietly through your day, watching for the things you won’t remember happening — the way your father laughs when he first sees you, the way your partner’s face changes when you walk into the room.
The Biltmore makes this easy for us in the best possible way. When your backdrop is this extraordinary, we don’t need to manufacture beauty. We just need to be present for it.
The architecture gives us natural framing everywhere we turn. The interplay of shadow and light through the arches creates depth and drama in even the most casual moments. And the grounds — with their layers of greenery, fountains, and open sky — give us variety that spans from grand and formal to soft and intimate, all within walking distance.
We’ve shot through golden hour on the back lawn, through dramatic evening light in the ballrooms, and yes — even in the rain, when the Biltmore proved once again that its beauty is weather-proof and its spirit is unshakeable.
If you’re in the early stages of planning and the Biltmore is on your list — trust that instinct. This is a venue that earns its reputation. The wedding team there is genuinely dedicated, the spaces are truly iconic, and the experience of being married in a National Historic Landmark, in the heart of Coral Gables, with the Miami skyline nearby and 150 acres of tropical beauty all around you — it’s something your guests will talk about for years.
A few things worth knowing as you plan:
The Biltmore offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, with options to accommodate intimate gatherings and large celebrations of 300+ guests. Peak wedding season runs from January through April and again in November and December — if you’re considering those months, reach out early to both the venue and your photographer.
And speaking of photographers — choosing someone who has actually worked at the Biltmore matters. We know where the light falls in the late afternoon in the gardens. We know how the ballroom changes when the chandeliers come on at dusk. We know the staircases and the archways and the fountain that nobody puts in their shot list but everyone wishes they’d captured. That knowledge is part of what we bring to your day.
We’re based in Charleston, South Carolina — but we genuinely travel the world for weddings. We’ve photographed on the Amalfi Coast, in the mountains, on coastlines, and in historic cities. Miami and Coral Gables have a particular magic that resonates deeply with us: that blend of European architecture, tropical warmth, and South Florida light that feels unlike anywhere else in the United States.
If you’re planning a Biltmore Hotel wedding and you want photographers who lead with their hearts, work quietly, and deliver images that feel honest and cinematic and completely, beautifully yours — we’d love to connect.
We are Georgia and Micah. We travel. We document. We care.
We’d love to hear about what you’re planning. Head over to our inquiry page and tell us about your day — the venue, the vibe, the things you’re most hoping to remember. We’ll take it from there.
