If you’ve been dreaming of a classic Charleston, South Carolina wedding — dripping with Spanish moss, steeped in history, and bursting with real, documentary-style emotion — Gabrielle and Connor’s February wedding at Boone Hall Plantation is the one you’ve been waiting to see. As Charleston wedding photographers, we’ve had the joy of documenting love stories all over the Lowcountry, and Boone Hall never stops taking our breath away.
This was a full, beautiful, perfectly Charleston day: getting ready at the iconic Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston, lush florals from Marigo Flowers filling every corner of the room, and a wedding ceremony and reception at one of the most beloved wedding venues in all of South Carolina. And yes — it rained. And yes — it was absolutely perfect.
The reception was held under a stunning tent from Quest Events Charleston, styled beautifully with rentals from JC Rental Collective. The combination of those two teams meant the space felt elevated, warm, and totally intentional — exactly what you’d expect from a wedding planned by the incredible Madelyn Tenney Events. If you’re planning a Charleston wedding and you’re not already following Madelyn’s work, stop what you’re doing.
As Charleston wedding photographers, we are always grateful when the design team knocks it out of the park like this, because every corner of the room becomes a photo waiting to happen.
